Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our site.
Please feel free to come along and try a walk with us, as you will be made very welcome and will find that we are a friendly group of folk who enjoy the fresh air, a good blether and a bit of exercise at the weekend. We also have the occasional social night, day outing and weekend away for all to enjoy.
We offer a varied programme of graded walks which range from shorter, flatter routes of a few miles right up to big hills and munros (hills over 3,000 feet). So there's sure to be something that will suit your level of fitness.
We meet, unless otherwise stated, in the East Ayrshire Council Headquarters Car Park, London Road, Kilmarnock, KA3 7BU at 8.50am to leave at 9.00am sharp. We encourage car sharing and appreciate our members arriving at the appropriate time in order to facilitate the process.
You will understand that we take our walking seriously so please make sure that you are suitably dressed and equipped to come for a walk in our wholly undependable Scottish weather! This means wearing suitable footwear, ie boots or heavy walking shoes (no trainers etc) and either wearing, or carrying, warm clothing and wet weather clothing. Also bring enough food and drink to last what may be several hours walking.
Please let the Walk Leader know if you are planning to come along but also be aware, that if you are not suitably equipped to take part, then they have the right to refuse you, in concern for your safety and the safety of others.
Interested? Great! We look forward to meeting you on one, or more of our walks.
